Business Forum – “Ghana’s Economic Outlook for the year 2018”

The Ghanaian-German Economic Association (GGEA) is pleased to invite all its members and non-members to a Business Forum dubbed “Ghana’s Economic Outlook for the year 2018”.

This event is scheduled to take please on Wednesday, 31st January, 2018 at the Alisa Hotel, North Ridge Accra. From 4:00pm to 6:00pm.

It’s been over a year now since Ghanaians went to the polls to elect Nana Addo Dankwah Akuffo-Addo as the new President of the Republic of Ghana. Following the outcome of the 2016 elections some changes in policy direction were expected in a number of areas, based on the manifesto of the victorious party, including a much stronger focus on economic recovery and broad-based industrialization underpinned by macroeconomic stabilization.

This forum will therefore endeavor to evaluate policy initiatives which have been implemented so far, the possible challenges and further economic prospects that may arise as a result of these initiatives as well as how businesses can re-align themselves to excel within this environment. More emphasis shall be placed on the private sector and repercussions of the various public-private sector partnerships in light of Ghana’s fiscal policy programme.

The GGEA would be grateful if you could take time off your busy schedule to share some thoughts with them during this symposium.

Proposed speakers for the event are:

  • Ken Ofori-Atta, Minister for Finance and Economic Planning
  • Kwame Pianim, Economist
  • Andrew Akoto, Partner, Advisory, KPMG
  • Martin Eson Benjamin, Chief Executive Officer, Millennium Development Authority

This event is free to all GGEA members but non members would pay GH¢100.00. Please confirm your participation by sending your name, contact and Company name to ggea@ggea.net.
