Mr. Joerge Kampmeyer, the General Partner of the Knauf Group, and Murat Akyildiz, Member of the Global Management Committee & Group General Manager for the Middle East/Africa/South Asia at Knauf paid a working visit to Ghana from the 14th to the 16th of November 2022.
Ghana has been identified as one of the countries in Africa that Knauf is seriously considering increasing its investment portfolio to include the establishment of a production facility. The visit was to amongst other things be a fact-finding mission and to gather pertinent information about the investment climate in Ghana.
The Knauf Delegation, which included Mr. Vincent Allard, the regional manager in charge of West and Southern Africa, Stephen Antwi, director and solicitor for Knauf Ghana was shepherded by HE Daniel Krull, the Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to pay a courtesy visit to HE Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the Vice President of the Republic of Ghana.
Additionally, the Delegation held discussions with the Deputy Minister in charge of Industry, Honorable Michael Okyere Baafi who deputized for the Honourable Alan Kyerematen, the Minister for Trade and Industry.
The visit and fruitful deliberations promise to open mutually beneficial opportunities for Ghana and the Knauf Group.
