Riepco Ltd, Gives Free Skills and Technical Development Training to Youth in Ghana

As part of efforts to contribute to youth development, Reipco Ltd is undertaking skills development training for the youth from various technical institutions for free. The initiative which forms part of the company’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), is targeted at the building the capacity of the youth and developing their skills, technical and engineering abilities.

The first cohort of beneficiaries including five (5) students from various Vocational and Technical institutions in the country have been attached to the engineering workshop of the company where the beneficiaries are benefiting from hands-on teaching and learning from engineers of the Tema based company.  

It is the goal of the company to increase the intake of technical students in order to contribute to the much-needed skills and engineering expertise in Ghana. In furtherance of achieving this goal and to sustain the initiative, Riepco Ltd has signed a Memorandum of Partnership (MoP) with the Technical and Vocational Education and training Services of the Ghanan education Services.

The Tema based engineering and mining services provider, aims at equipping its beneficiaries with expertise in areas including; Welding and Fabrication, Electricals, Mechanical and Production of conveyor Idlers and Assembling of valves for the mining and utility sector which happens to be its core operational sector.

In a communique, Mr. Charles Darko, CEO of the mining service giant informed Board Members of the Ghanaian-German Economic Association about their efforts in contributing to the nations human resource and to the mining sector of the economy.
